Tourists will be able to rent private farms in Abu Dhabi

The Emirate's authorities have approved the possibility of including farms in the list of recreational facilities (holiday homes). And their owners will be allowed to issue licenses for short-term rentals to tourists, which should diversify the tourist offer in the UAE.

In particular, farmhouses, caravans and motorhomes can be rented, for which multiple permits can be issued, thus opening up the market to investors and management companies.

A detailed guide for property owners is available on the Abu Dhabi DCT website.

There is an amnesty on fines for 6 months while licenses are being processed.

It is worth noting that the idea of developing rural areas as tourist sites in the Emirates is not new. For example, Dubai plans to modernize such areas as Al Faqa, Al Lusayli, Al Habab, Al Marmoom, Al Awir, Margham into recreational areas, which should give an impetus to the development of eco-tourism in the region.
